Police Firearms Instructor
Today’s police firearms instructor is charged with a variety of responsibilities. Two of the most important are teaching and maintaining basic gun handling and marksmanship skills. Instructors will return to their agencies ready to manage this critical need. Each student will learn various teaching methods that they can use to remediate basic and combat marksmanship skills. Shoulder mounted weapons (including shotgun and patrol rifle) will be covered. Students will leave with a plan for teaching these important police weapons.

It is recommended that students attend the Police Tactical Firearms course prior to the Police Firearms Instructor course. Master Firearms Instructor certification requires completion of the following courses: Police Tactical Firearms, Police Strategy and Tactics, Police Firearms Instructor, and three day Master Firearms Instructor Apprentice Program.
